The Bloomsbury is situated on the A19 to the north west side of the city, less than 1 mile from the Minster.
Satellite Navigation systems tend to send you through the City centre which should be avoided, so please follow the directions below.
FROM THE NORTH
From the A1 come down the A19 towards York. After crossing the A1237 (Outer ring road) The Bloomsbury can be found after approximately 1 mile on the right hand side of the road after a set of traffic lights, opposite the church.
FROM THE SOUTH AND WEST
From the A1(M) take the A64 to York. Just before York, approximately 2 miles after MacDonald’s/petrol stations and 1 mile after 'The Buckles Inn' on left take the A1237 (York North Bypass). (Missing this junction will take you through the City centre and could add significant time to your journey!) At the roundabout (A1237/ A19) just after the river turn right to York Centre. The Bloomsbury is situated one mile along the A19 on the right hand side of the road just after a set of traffic lights opposite the church.
Car parking is immediately behind The Bloomsbury Guest House down the small lane at the side, or at the garages adjacent to The Bloomsbury. Parking is clearly marked.
York is now less than 2 hours from London's Kings Cross station and taxis are available on the station forecourt to complete your journey. Journey time is typically 5-10 minutes.
